These terms set out the promises you keep when using the online game TERAFOM and this website, and the promises we make to you. By starting the game, you agree to these terms.
1. Scope
These terms apply to the TERAFOM game and the terafom.com website. By creating an account or using the game, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
Terafom is a game for families to enjoy together. Children under 13 should play with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for them. Before any payment, the game asks for a grown-up.
If you get or play the game through a platform such as Steam, Google Play or App Store, that platform's terms also apply.
2. Accounts
- Android and iOS: use an ID and password, or a guest account on your device. Steam: Terafom signs you in through Steam and creates a linked game account automatically; no separate Terafom password is required.
- Please keep your password safe. We are not responsible for anything that happens because you shared your password with someone else.
- Your Terafom username and chat are visible to other players. For an ID account, this username is also your login ID. Do not use personal information such as your real name, phone number or address as your username or in chat.
- You may not use a character name that impersonates someone else, contains profanity or hate speech, or offends others. We may change such names or suspend the account without notice.
- You may not buy, sell, lend or hand over an account to anyone else.
3. Rules to follow
The following are not allowed.
- Modifying, taking apart or reverse-engineering the game program
- Using auto-hunting programs (bots), macros or any other cheating tools
- Disrupting the server or other players' normal use (sending excessive requests, exploiting vulnerabilities and so on)
- Accessing someone else's account without permission
- Trading in-game items or props for real money
- Bullying, threatening or prying for personal information from other players in chat or in the game
- Any act that breaks the law or infringes on the rights of others
If we confirm such behavior, we may suspend or delete the account without warning, and we will not restore game data lost as a result.
4. Things in the game
Characters, items, building props, land tiles and the cities you build are all part of the game service. You receive the right to use them within the game; you do not own them as property. They therefore cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money outside the game.
The game server decides every result. Items and props obtained through bugs or cheating may be taken back.
Terafom has no PvP. Other players cannot hurt your character or snatch your items.
5. Changes to and interruption of the service
Terafom is currently in development. The game's content, rules and numbers may change without notice, and game data may be reset during development. We will let you know in advance when a major reset is planned.
We may change, suspend or end all or part of the service. If we end the service completely, we will let you know a reasonable time in advance.
The service may stop temporarily because of server maintenance, outages, network problems, natural disasters and the like.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
In the Android and iOS apps, Terafom is free to play. Everything you need to play is earned in the game and is never sold for money.
In the Android and iOS apps you can buy Terafom Plus, an optional subscription that renews automatically every month, for 5.00 USD a month (or the store's matching price in your country). While it is on, you can take every Shop decoration and room set for your city and wear every hat and pair of glasses. It only changes how things look; it never makes anyone stronger or faster.
- Payment — Terafom Plus is bought through the App Store or Google Play, and the payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal — it renews automatically every month and is charged again, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling — you can manage or cancel it at any time in the store's account settings: on the App Store, Apple Account → Subscriptions; on Google Play, Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. After you cancel, it stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds — refunds follow the refund policy of the store you bought from, and Apple or Google decides them. Please ask that store for a refund.
- When it ends — your Shop things are put away, not deleted: the decorations you placed leave the world, the ones in your bag go into a box, and your hats and glasses come off. Everything comes back if you subscribe again.
- It belongs to your account — the subscription belongs to your Terafom account and applies when you use that same account in the Android or iOS app.
- Steam — on Steam, Terafom is a paid game, bought once on its Steam store page. It includes everything the Shop has, and nothing is sold inside it.
Children and purchases: a parent or guardian must make or approve every purchase. Before any payment the game first asks for a grown-up, with a question only a grown-up can answer. Then the store asks for the device owner's approval (a fingerprint, face or password), and on a child's account (Apple's Ask to Buy, Google Play's family approval) a parent approves it. The game never pushes anyone to buy: there are no countdowns and no random prizes.
7. Intellectual property
We hold the rights to everything that makes up Terafom, including the game's name, logo, graphics, music, code and documents. Beyond personal enjoyment, you need our permission in advance to copy, distribute, adapt or use them commercially.
You are free to record gameplay videos or take screenshots and share them on your own streams, videos and communities.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the service will always run without interruption or errors, or that it will suit any particular purpose of yours.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental or special damages, or for data loss, arising from use of the service.
However, we are responsible under the law for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence. Your rights as a consumer guaranteed by law are not limited by these terms.
10. Restriction and termination
You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account and its data yourself in the game (☰ Menu → Settings → Delete my account), or ask us by email as the account deletion guide explains. If you have a subscription, cancel it in the store as well: deleting your account does not cancel it.
Deleting your Terafom account does not delete your Steam account or remove your game license from Steam. It deletes your Terafom account and game data as described here.
If you break these terms, we may restrict your use after notifying you. If the violation is serious or there is a risk of immediate harm to other players, we will act first and let you know afterward.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. We will first try to settle any dispute about the service through conversation; if a lawsuit is needed, it will be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
Any protection you have as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence remains unaffected.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update this page and the effective date above. We will announce changes that are unfavorable to you in the game or on this website at least 7 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the changed terms, you can stop using the service.
